Common Reasons for Failing Safety Checks
- Window Tints must not exceed 30% on all windows of a Passenger Vehicle
- Truck and SUV window tints must not exceed 30% only on the driver and front passenger window.
- Driver door latch must be able to operate from inside as well as outside.
- Driver window must be able to roll down.
- Every vehicle must have a front and rear bumper.
- Glazing materials / Tinted lights must not diminish the operations of any of the lights.
- Excessive Tire Wear
- Tires must be completely covered by the shape of the fender.
- No squeaking or grinding of brakes.
- Hood Must Latch. (Strapping the hood down will not pass)
- Must have side view and rear view Mirrors.
- Odometer must be be operational for 25 years of the vehicles life.
- Back and front Hawaii license plates (should be mounted on the bumpers)
