Common Reasons for Failing Safety Checks

 

  • Window Tints must not exceed 30% on all windows of a Passenger Vehicle
  • Truck and SUV window tints must not exceed 30% only on the driver and front passenger window.
  • Driver door latch must be able to operate from inside as well as outside.
  • Driver window must be able to roll down.
  • Every vehicle must have a front and rear bumper.
  • Glazing materials / Tinted lights must not diminish the operations of any of the lights.
  • Excessive Tire Wear
  • Tires must be completely covered by the shape of the fender.
  • No squeaking or grinding of brakes.
  • Hood Must Latch. (Strapping the hood down will not pass)
  • Must have side view and rear view Mirrors.
  • Odometer must be be operational for 25 years of the vehicles life.
  • Back and front Hawaii license plates (should be mounted on the bumpers)
